2011, an increase of 24% over 2010 sector exports ($76.4 billion).
The main importers of Brazilian produce were the European Union, China,
the United States, Russia and Japan. They mostly imported soy, ethanol
or sugar, and meats.
Brazil imported $17.08 billion in farm produce. Thus, the sector
surplus was $77.51 billion, almost three times the total trade surplus
of $29.8 billion.
