The Brazil government will sum up achievements of outgoing President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in a document named “Legacy of the Government’s Eight Years.”
Minister of Institutional Relations Alexandre Padilha made the announcement at a cabinet meeting chaired by Lula himself on Thursday, at which participants discussed plans to hand over power to president-elect Dilma Rousseff on Jan. 1, 2011.
Lula told the meeting that after he leaves office, “his main task is to fight like a lion for political reform in Brazil,” said the minister.
“Lula wants to work with the Workers’ Party (PT) and unite all the political allies to submit a proposal next year for political reform.”
