18 de abril de 2024Brazilian Foreign Minister Celso Amorim Wednesday left for a seven-day visit to six European countries, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties with these countries, said the Foreign Ministry.
Amorim will visit Estonia, Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Austria and Romania from June 16 to 22.
In his first stop, Amorim is scheduled to hold talks with his Estonian counterpart and other senior officials on bilateral ties. The two countries will also sign a memorandum of political consultations.
In Poland, Amorim will discuss issues of common concern with Polish officials. This year marks the 90th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
In his third stop, the minister will hold talks with officials of Bosnia and Herzegovina on bilateral ties and issues of common concern. The two countries are also expected to sign an agreement on visa exemption.
In the fourth leg of his tour, Amorim will hold talks with his Serbian counterpart and sign a memorandum of political consultation and an agreement on suspension of visas.
In Austria, his fifth stop, Amorim will exchange views with Austrian officials on bilateral ties.
In his last stop Romania, Amorim will hold talks with his Romanian counterpart, discussing ways to further bilateral ties.
