Spanish business school Iese is to launch an Executive MBA programme – an MBA for working managers – in Sao Paulo from August 2012. The programme will be run with Iese’s local associate ISE, which has worked with Iese on short executive education programmes since 2001.
The Brazil launch will be the first time that Iese has run its EMBA, ranked number 26 in the world by the FT, outside Spain. The move is a bid to establish a firmer foothold in one of the world’s fastest growing and most exciting economies and to become one of the first US or European business schools to run degree programmes there.
“Launching our flagship Executive MBA in Brazil will fulfil Iese’s mission: that is, to help executives of one of the most important emerging economies become more successful professionals, with more opportunities and undergoing the school’s transformational experience, leaving the programme as leaders who the business world and society can trust,” says Jordi Canals, dean of Iese.
Classes will be held every two weeks and the programme will run for 19 months. The programme is intended for Brazil’s growing number of working executives who have at least five years of experience. Classes will be taught in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
