Bank Zachodni 2010 Profit Fell to 916.9 Million Zloty
Bank Zachodni WBK SA, Poland’s third-biggest bank by market value that Banco Santander SA agreed to buy last year, said 2010 net income fell to 916.9 million zloty. That compares with the 912.6 million-zloty mean estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Bloomberg News.
Oil Rises a Second Day, Exceeds $100 in N.Y., on Mideast Turmoil
Oil gained for a second day in New York, trading above $100 a barrel, as demonstrations in Iran stoked concern the turmoil spreading across the Middle East may disrupt supplies from OPEC’s second-largest producer.

Bank Zachodni WBK SA (BZW PW): Poland’s third-biggest bank by market value will announce fourth-quarter earnings. Zachodni was little changed at 225.5 zloty.
Multimedia Polska SA (MMP PW): Poland’s biggest publicly traded cable television operator will publish 2010 earnings. The shares dropped 1 percent to 9.5 zloty.
United Co. Rusal (486 HK): Environmental prosecutors in Ukraine are investigating a red dust cloud from a Rusal-owned alumina refinery, Russia’s state-run Channel One television reported yesterday. Rusal, the world’s largest aluminum maker, gained 0.3 percent to HK$13.14 in Hong Kong.
VTB Group (VTBR RX): Standard & Poor’s said yesterday that it put VTB’s long-term ‘BBB’ rating on credit watch because of its acquisition of a stake in Bank of Moscow. Russia’s second- largest lender fell 3.2 percent to 9.79 kopeks.
OAO Mosenergo (MSNG RX): The Moscow power generator controlled by OAO Gazprom is scheduled to release its earnings results for 2010. The company’s shares fell 0.8 percent to 3.0053 rubles.
VimpelCom Ltd. (VIP US): The Russian mobile phone operator said yesterday that a U.K. court denied a bid by shareholder Telenor ASA to block a shareholder meeting related to a merger with Weather Investments SpA. VimpelCom fell 0.2 percent to $14.09 in New York.
