Angola is to hold the Sixth Brazilian Cultural Week on Monday to celebrate the 187th anniversary of independence of Brazil, an official said here on Sunday.
Albert Esper, chairperson of the Association of the Brazilian Entrepreneurs and Executives in Angola (Aebran), said the Brazilian Cultural Week will show three Brazilian movies entitled “Mysteries of the Samba,” “Stomach” and “No by Chance” at Luanda’s Belas Shopping CinePlace.
He added that a famous Brazilian artist Jorge Vercillo and his band will also give musical performances during the week.
Esper said the Brazilian cultural week will allow Angolans and other foreigners to learn about Brazil’s best movies and best music performed by best Brazilian musicians.
According to the Brazilian official, the Brazilian cultural week initiated by Aebran and supported by the Brazilian Embassy to Angola will also give foreigners the opportunity to taste Brazilian traditional meals, listen to Brazilian music, see Brazil’s movies and observe Brazil’s plastic artistic works, among others.
