Striking postal workers demand payment for days on strike and negotiations stall

Negotiations have ground to a halt between the Post Office and the union that represents its employees (“Federação Nacional dos Trabalhadores em Empresas de Correios e Telégrafos e Similares – Fentect”), because the union will not accept forfeiting pay for days not worked during the strike. A proposal by the Post Office to discount one day per month was rejected and the strike continues.
