China and Brazil have agreed to share data collected from their satellites with each other and with developing countries including in Africa, according to a Brazilian official in Beijing.
Chinese President Hu Jintao will sign the accord to share data during his visit to Brazil next month, said Andre Amado, Brazil’s vice minister for energy and high technology, during a press briefing today. The list of countries entitled to share the data will be “broadened in due time,” he said.
